You have top grades (and i’m assuming rigor too but it’s hard to tell with listing how many honors/APs you’ve taken) and great ECs. The only thing that might hinder you is your ACT which for schools like NU and WashU is really 2-4 points below the middle 50%. I think with your overall profile your score now won’t hinder you to much but if you get 31ish or a 33+ you won’t have to worry about it. You might want to consider applying ED to your top choice if its one of the more selective schools on your list because the percentages of admittance can sometimes be radically higher (NU for example had a 33% admit ED vs approx. 4-6% RD this year). Make sure you spend some times on essays too. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply! I have taken 12 honors classes and do plan on applying ED to Northwestern and will visit in a few months! @Heisenbergyk

I agree that you need to raise your ACT score to be very competitive and have good chance.

Cool NU’s awesome (the reason I knew all those stats before was because I got in this year)! For specifically ED at NU you have really good chances. Like I said before if you can raise your ACT even just 1 point or two to be in the 30+ I’d say you’d have really safe odds, but even without that and a good essay you’d have an okay chance. If you have any specific NU questions I’d be glad to answer them (and visiting at least once with a tour is also good to build interest b/c on the ComApp they do specifically ask if you’ve done that). Good luck!

Yeah I plan on taking the September ACT to (hopefully) boost my score! @Rhuran

Thanks for the help @Heisenbergyk, if something comes to mind I’ll message you!
