Chances at NYU CAS??? URGENT, ED 1: will chance back

I am applying ED to CAS in NYU and I plan to double major in economics and pre-law with a minor in Mandarin and intro. to finance. My highest SAT score was 1570 and highest ACT was 25. My GPA is 3.6/4.0 with 6 honors and 2 AP courses. I have approximately 25-30 extracurricular activities on my application and letter of recommendation from my guidance counselor ranging from sports and internships to community service with non-profit organizations.

Honest answers would be appreciated

Thank you.

Is that 1570 out of 2400?

NYU is very numbers based. The 25-75% SAT scores are 1900-2100, with CAS being around an average of 2000.

The average GPA for NYU overall is around 3.65 with CAS being at or slightly above that average.

Given that your GPA is slightly below average and if your SAT scores are out of 2400, IMHO your SAT scores will prevent you from getting in.

An SAT score in the 1900-2100 range, or an ACT score of a 28-31 will get you into NYU. However, with the scores you have now, I’d say you’d be rejected.

It’s usually assumed to be actually 2000-2100 and 29-31 for NYU CAS.
