Chances at NYU?

Hey guys here are my stats:

I did ED2
Majors intended: Finance, but selected Econ as a back up
GPA: 3.76 weighted (but I have gotten all A’s this year which is about a 4.6 which is included on my transcript)
SAT: 1940 M 610 CR 670 W 660
EC: I have a trading account for the past 2 years which I have paid for using the money I earned working at Stabucks 15-20 hours a week. I have also cofounded a club that raises money for cancer research through 3 on 3 basketball tournaments. Also a freshmen mentor and a member of best buddies
Recs: I have tremendous recommendations as well as great essays.

@NJCCNJ Yes, but i also applied for CAS which has their Econ Department

cas you have a little bit of chance, still reach. Stern, you have literally a zero chance. its acceptance rate in the RD is one digit with plenty of 4.0 and 2300+ getting rejected

GPA, scores, and EC’s a little low to guarantee acceptance but you seem like a strong applicant.

I think CAS is a reach, but still possible, and Stern is probably not going to happen, sorry. :frowning:

I think you will definitely be accepted into CAS! Stern would be tough. At the very least, NYU has a liberal studies program in which they admit many who are on the lower end of their applicant pool. I have a friend in it & she loves it- requires that you take liberal studies classes for the first two years and then you can major in whatever you’d like! You should look into it- might be a possibility.
