New York University ED Please Chance!

Hey guys, I am in an awkward position. So, freshmen and sophomore year, I did not do anything and got horrible grades. Junior year, I buckled up and got myself together and got a 1 B. The twist is, that my course load was extremely difficult and my extracurricular activites are very good.

ACT - 34
GPA (UW) 3.3(yea ouch..i know)(2.8-->3.8) 4.5 Weighted

EC's: Stock Market Club- Founder and President

Varsity Tennis - 3 Years
Speech and Debate Club -President (2 years)
Speech and Debate Club- VP (1 year)
Small computer science internship for 1 summer

Governors Page Program
Senators Page Program

Essays: I talk about my change using a clever metaphor. PM me if you would like to know.
Also, I talk about how I know what I want to do and my realization through high school.

My question is simple: Do I have a chance? After I took AP Economics, I fell in love into business. I have liked subjects before and contemplated about studying those in college, but after Economics, it was clear I wanted to go into Business in Finance(hence the club I started). Do I have a shot at these NYU Stern Early Decision?

Thanks Guys! I really appreciate the advice!

GPA is the only issue…but what REALLY separates you from all the other Stern apps? If you can answer that, you should be fine.

Thanks! Bump for more input

NYU stern is generally a competing school since it is one of the top business schools in the country. I think that your GPA is a big problem, but otherwise your app looks good. Regular decision is a definite reach, but ED will most likely give you a better chance. Overall, I’d say that you have a 50/50 chance of getting in
