Chances at Pitt

Hopefully someone with some previous experience can help me out.

I applied to Pitt 2 days ago. Under their rolling admissions I wanted to get to them as soon as possible. (I will be graduating high school in May/June 2011!)

Pitt is the school of my dreams. If I don't get in I'm going to be crushed, so I'm not getting my hopes up for anything.

But I was just curious if anyone here thinks I stand a chance...

GPA unweighted - 3.75-3.8

GPA weighted - 4.01

SAT - 1100 (math+critical reading)...I KNOW this low. And I hate myself for not doing better.
A 1600 is you add the writing. Pitt doesn't look at the writing though, so that doesn't matter.

EC - Russian Club president, Italian club, The Future is Mine, Debate Team, Academic League captain, student council, marching band, concert band, jazz band (section leader in all bands), NHS

4 AP classes - 2 junior year and 2 this year
A very tough junior and senior schedule. NO blowoff classes whatsoever. (Our school doesn't offer too many AP classes, I took all the ones available except AP Calc. Taking Trig instead)

Supplemental information - 1 letter of recommendation for AP English Language teacher. 2 essays (one was about a book and how it impacted my life and showed off my writing skills, and the other was 'why I want to attend the University of Pittsburgh') Plus I sent in a resume with all clubs, extra activities, jobs, awards, etc.

So can anyone give me anything? I understand that the SAT scores is a little below their average but I'm hoping some of the other stuff will make up for that...

I would say try and raise your scores as you contact the admissions counselor for your area and begin to ask how to compare to the acceptance criteria. Make sure your essay uniquely states how passionate you are about attending this school, possibly scheduling an interview?..best of luck :)
