Chances at Pomona, ED

<p>These are the stats for my friend who is absolutely in love with Pomona and will be applying Early Decision. I just used the decisions template, so here goes:</p>

Please chance my friend for Pomona! It is her absolute dream and I'm sure she would be willing to do whatever necessary to get in!</p>

<p>Chancing on this or any other site is pretty pointless. Pomona is so selective that it’s impossible to predict outcome regardless of how good your friend’s stats or EC’s are. Plenty of kids with solid EC’s and 2300+ scores are rejected every year, so if she’s up to par academically it will be more important what kind of person she is. </p>

<p>If she loves the school enough, she should apply ED whether it seems likely or not. I applied ED 1 with plenty of doubts and wound up getting in. In the meantime, work hard, take the hardest courses, get the SAT as high up as she can and keep working at whatever she’s passionate about outside of school.</p>
