My Ec’s are:
I have a YouTube channel with over 100,000 subscribers, I was class Vice President my junior year, senior class president senior year, I’ve been in YCLUB since sophomore year (a youth government club, one of the best in the country), I’m in NHS, I have over 1,000+ volunteer hours, I tutor after school on Wednesdays, I published a book about a romantic war tragedy, I’ve been on TV with small roles, I’m the President of my school’s feminist/woman’s right’s club, I’m president of YClub, I’m president of the book club, I’ve volunteered in Slovenia over the summer working with children in orphanages. I’m in Beta Club (10-12), Founder of German Club (11-12), Rho kappa (11-12) I’ve played tennis from junior year until now (11-12), Captain of the debate team (11-12), Quick recall (11-12)
My ACT score after taking it twice was a 34. My SAT score, from last year, is 2350. My weighted GPA is 4.3. My uw is 3.79. If I get all A’s by the end of the year my uw will be 3.84. My school doesn’t do class ranks but I reckon I’m within the Top 6%.
Do you think I have a chance at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, UPenn, Stanford, Cornell, Brown and Dartmouth? I also heard Princeton and Stanford don’t factor in freshmen grades. Is that true? Please chance me at each school! Thank you!

I think Princeton factors in freshman grades. That being said, you have perfect grades in 10th and 11th taking harder classes so I believe that you’ll be okay gpa-wise. Your ECs sound pretty interesting. Good luck!

I’m a rising senior.

Your uw GPA is a bit of a reach and some colleges may or may not look at your final senior year grades, but all of them will look at first semester grades. I wouldn’t solely hope to get accepted into these top schools. You have to realize that the schools you are applying to are very selective. Luckily, you have incredible EC’s and test scores to back up your resume. In addition, if you haven’t already done so, you should take SAT Subject Tests since some majors may require you to take at least one subject test.

You may want to apply to some safety schools just in case you get rejected from the ivy leagues and stanford

Hope this helps and good luck applying!

Anyone else?

Can anyone else please help chance me at these schools?

I’m stressing out bad! Please!

You have decent chances. Decent EC’s for ivies.

Seems like you’ve spread yourself quite thin. Throw away most of the club EC’s they won’t help much. Say, reduce it to

What do you mean by "decent ec’s? Most chance threads have people who have only 2 clubs but they have been accepted into an Ivy school

^^ Now, there’s a generalization that wholly untrue.

@slavicbeauty Well, ivies and the most prestigious colleges don’t really care much about generic clubs, because everyone who has the slightest chance of acceptance has something similar or better.

I’ve called your EC’s decent for the ivies yet you seem to be offended. Odd.

You lack depth. Ivies are much more likely to accept the student who, say, spends all of their time on photography and has a list of EC’s and international/national awards reflecting this passion.

I know examples of students much more qualified than you who have been rejected. In essence, nothing here stands out to differentiate you from the rest of the crowd in your quantitative range.
