Schools in order of choice:
1.UVa (with legacy, Uncle/Aunt are alums-wrote letters, so in-state,)
2. U Mich (Accepted)
3. Georgetown (Business School, NOT SFS!) (Great Interview)
4. Wake Forest
5. Cornell (applied to both ag school and Arts and Sciences-for Econ majors)
6. Maryland (Accepted)
7. Northwestern (Average Interview)
8. Vanderbilt (Great Interview)

Could anyone give me a % chance? I will reciprocate

Thanks!

i cant be too specific since i dont know that much about these school but i would say you have a good shot at all of them. youll probably end up with a rejection letter or two, but hey, it happens to everyone.

id say you have a good shot at UVA esp if they take legacies seriously. wake forest as well. maybe cornell, but they have so many apps its hard to say for sure. i think you could get into vanderbilt too, although i dont know as much about it as i probs should. congrats on your acceptances already, though. all of them are great schools.

oh, and your ec/community service record is way above average...this will seriously make you stand out LOTS, not many kids applying to even some of these schools will have records close to this. so keep that in mind, good luck!

Hello from another CISV-er! I went to Austria in 2004, but anyway, I'd say that you're fighting an uphill battle against Georgetown, and Cornell with your scores and gpa, it's not out of the question, but it's going to be tough.

1.UVa – if you're in state, then in (but are you?); if OOS, 50/50
2. U Mich (Accepted): Would have said 60/40
3. Georgetown: 1 in 4
4. Wake Forest: 60/40
5. Cornell: 50/50
6. Maryland (Accepted): Would have said lock
7. Northwestern (Average Interview): 1 in 4
8. Vanderbilt (Great Interview): 60/40

thanks for the advice, any other takers?

chance chance chance chance

are those new sats going to help you out? that could be the difference at some of these schools.

Cornell, Northwestern & Georgetown will be tough for you. It is important to write an application to each school that matches up your ECs with your intended area of study and with that particular school's offerings. In other words, let each school read how you are a match for them with your ECs as proof of your interest, drive & accomplishments in those areas. You are likely to be admitted to Wake Forest University. Vanderbilt will depend upon your application essays and teacher recs, in my opinion. If you live in Virginia, you will be admitted to UVa.; if not, then you probably will not be admitted. If your choices are among Michigan, Wake Forest & Virginia (with Vandy possible), then you are ahead of 99% of those heading to college next year. Good luck!
