Chances at smith

GPA: 3.7 UW 4…7 W top 10-5% of my class, not sure
I am a junior, these are the classes I have taken/plan to take
AP Human geo, AP world, AP comp. gov, AP macro, AP lang, AP lit, AP euro, AP enviro, AP US gov, AP psych, APUSH
all honors everything else except math (and electives obviously…not a thing). I’m horrible in math though.

No SAT/ACT scores yet, I expect them to be good but not stellar.

ECs
*4 years of track
*3 years of XC
These really pushed me out of my comfort zone, as I never saw myself doing athletics like this. I’m not all that good but have improved tremendously.
*4 years of constitutional scholars-teaching elementary school kids about the constitution/civics and studying/visiting supreme court cases. This club did not have official leadership but I definitely took leadership.
*4 years (three active ones) of Women’s student union-fought to change dress code, make the health curriculum more accurate and inclusive, got pads/tampons in the bathrooms
*leadership member of students for international awareness (3 years)- held discussions about international topics of interest and attended several world affairs forums.
Founder of current events club- increased awareness and held discussions about domestic/foreign news and politics.
*Horseback riding all my life- co-captain of varsity show team, won many ribbons
*Pretty involved in student government
*Debate (4 years)- Made it to finals of local NFL league all four years and did well (student congress).
*Summer internship for local state senator
*Made a documentary about the achievement gap and institutional racism within my school
*Written several opinion articles for the school paper
*Very active on the Bernie Sanders campaign
*Very active in politics in general, I have attended many protests and rallies.

Recs will be good, I tend to form close relationships with teachers. I am a pretty good writer.

If your grades stay the same and you get good (30+ ACT or 1330+ SATs) test scores, Smith should be a Target for you. Good luck!
