I am currently on track to improve my GPA and class rank; I'm getting straight As for this quarter and hopefully for next quarter as well. Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to be honest, your SAT scores and ACT scores don't match your GPA. However, it is understandable because you are taking both AP and IB classes. In my opinion, you have a great chance at getting in. The ample amount of college level classes is amazing. At my school, the highest number of AP classes available to a person in 11 grade is 2.. I'd say you have a great chance.

Yeah, they sure don't. That's what happens when you throw your intelligence down the toilet in 9th and 10th grades, like I did.

Take a lesson, kids. :)

You'd say the SAT/ACT scores are decent, though?

Anything over 700 on each section is decent. If you look at the percentile rankings for this year, you'd be in the 99th:

<a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/composite_CR_M_W_percentile_ranks.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/highered/ra/sat/composite_CR_M_W_percentile_ranks.pdf</a></p>

Just try to do really well on your SAT IIs, and the testing shouldn't be that much of an issue. I'm more worried about your GPA, but if you can sort of haul that up a bit it should be ok, considering all of the AP/IB classes you have (my school won't let us take more than 8 classes a year period. That's A LOT of difficult stuff in your senior year).

I don't know if you have leadership positions that you didn't list, but if you don't you can improve your chances by picking one up if it's available.

Admissions are unpredictable as always, but you seem to be on the right track. Good luck. :)

We have elections for officer positions in Spanish Honor Society on Monday, so I hope to pick that one up along with the JCO one. Thanks for the advice.

stanford chances are extremely slim. cornell is a reach. everywhere else is a match, withh UF as safety obviously.

there's nothing really good about your app. GPA will hurt. test scores and EC's are all mediocre, and no awards.
