AIME :-) possibly my favorite test of all time.

You have a shot at all of the schools that you listed... if you look at other students posting their profiles (assuming that they are not lying of course), you'll see that you fit right in with the applicant pool.

Try to work on making your strong, yet somewhat generic profile (I'm not trying to criticize here, but think about it... how many top decile, high-scoring, JSA members, NHS members, and politically aware students do you think are applying to these schools?) more interesting by working on your essays. Make sure that they are honest and thoughtful and talk about what makes you you. With a strong, thoughtful, creative essay, you stand a much better chance at these schools, particularly at Chicago.

In my view, you have a better chance at Stanford than at many of the other schools (odd, huh?). The reason is the great 10-12 UW/W GPA compared to the four-year GPA, and having gone to the Stanford Debate Camp, and the AIME nationals finalist--which Stanford cares about more than the others do (except Georgetown).

That class rank (top 12%) is a killer at Brown and Northwestern, in particular.

You have pretty good chances at Georgetown and Chicago because of all the ECs and great test scores.

I'd say:

Stanford--Match to Slight Reach
Georgetown--Match
UChicago--Match
Northwestern--Slight Reach
Brown--Reach
Rice--hard to say--I'm guessing waitlist

P.S. And people, please don't write how Stanford is so much tougher than Brown, Northwestern, Rice, etc.--I've already explained above why the OP is an exception to the averages--thanks.

You say it's a noncompetitive high school and you have a 12% rank with those test scores? Doesn't look good. Georgetown and UChicago will surely take you regardless, tho'. Princeton will not be similar to Stanford, I'd imagine Princeton would be the biggest reach of all if you put it on your list.

Stanford--Reach for everyone
Georgetown--Match
UChicago--Match
Northwestern--Match
Brown--Reach
Rice--Match

UChicago claims to be self-selective, but you definitely fall into that category. I got into Georgetown and Northwestern (Arts and Sciences), and let me tell you Georgetown is more selective than Northwestern from my experience with people from my school applying... Rice is not too difficult either... I'm speaking from experience, all the schools are good schools, so don't be offended if you go to Northwestern or Rice... (or Chicago)
