My GPA Sucks because I did bad freshman year and got a 2.5 GPA, but was an upward trend each year after.

My ACT sucked because it was a bad day for me, but my SAT should fix the score.
(School accidentally sent my ACT scores in)

Is 3.15 unweighted? or weighted? and are you planning on applying ED or RD?

Applying ED, It’s weighted a little I think my actual GPA is about a 3.1

DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR ACT. Just your ACT! It’s a stretch, but with ED, maybe. Just don’t submit that ACT, or you will be denied for SURE.

Why would I be denied for sure? That’s a really dumb thing to say on your part considering my SAT score would show them I just didn’t test well when I got my score of a 20. Besides my school automatically sent it to the colleges I listed on accident.

Typically, colleges value your highest scores, unless they specifically state otherwise. If your SAT result is higher, they will value that more then the lower ACT, and will even “superscore” your SAT by taking your highest Math, Verbal, and Writing from whichever test dates you scored your best. Syracuse wants all test scores from all testing dates, so don’t worry about them going accidentally. Check each colleges requirements though, because for example, Penn State University takes your highest total SAT score with all three parts (M,V,W) but you can’t superscore. They look at your highest total score from one test date. Univ. of Notre Dame will superscore your SAT, but is only interested in Math and Verbal. Even they say that they will take whichever is higher, your ACT or SAT, and so will encourage you to take both tests several times.

Also, it’s your GPA, activities, etc. that are all looked at in the admission package. Just keep trying to do your bese, as one can’t always predict a college’s decision.

This is what I can tell you, in the fall I will be attending syracuse university as a biology major in the school of arts and sciences. I can tell you that when I applied I did so as a political science student and I applied regular decision. I was about the same type of student you are except…i didn’t have that much of a rigorous schedule. My Gpa was about a 3.4 and I had a 1890 on my sat and a 28 on my act. I would say in my opinon, apply…if you are set on SU apply early, it is best…I think you will be excepted…good luck to you if you need any help feel free to message me
