Chances at these SUNY schools??

(i'm still a junior but...)
88 gpa unweighed (its low, i know)
a few APs (ap bio, english, stats, apes)
i've had a full course load (8 classes) all years of HS
at least a 1300/1600 on the SAT
I have a lot of extracurricular activities: dance, play, mock trial, tutoring for community service hours, reading to kids at the library for community service hours.
I also work at Kumon math and reading center.
what would my chances be at:
SUNY Oneonta
SUNY Geneseo (ED? maybe this is too much of a reach...)
SUNY new paltz
SUNY fredonia
SUNY brockport

thank you!

Hey, NY state resident here :)

Aslong as you put effort in your application and show interest in the schools you are in all for sure except Geneseo.

Geneseo will be a little stretch (my brother had similar SAT stats and a little higher GPA and got denied, but he never visited and showed no interest). If you apply ED, you have a great shot, and I’d say Geneseo is a high match / low reach. If you are sure on Geneseo (which is a top SUNY, in competition with Binghamton for 1st, so would be a great choice), then I’d suggest applying ED.

You’re looking good for all except Geneseo which is a reach. Your gpa is a little low for New Paltz who is now looking for 90’s gpa but your SAT may make up for that.
What is your intended major and what are you looking for in a school?

Hey iliketodance123 you should be good for most of the SUNY schools.

Keep your hopes up for Geneseo though, there’s never a sure way to know with colleges like Geneseo but I think you got a good shot.
I applied regular decision with an 88 average and not so great SAT scores but got accepted this year, so looking at your stats you should be well qualified.
It is still selective and I have no idea what criteria they go by but you should have a fair chance.

i’m looking to major in childhood education, and I have a lot of experience working with young children to show my passion for it.

New Paltz is great for education, it’s one of the majors they are known for. Good luck and keep us posted on your acceptances!
