Chances at Tisch

Okay, so I'm going into my Junior year and I'm really worried. I've always wanted to attend NYU's film school but they're is so selective! And I really screwed up mys Freshman year, so I'm going to have a GASP! 'C' on my transcript. But my Sophomore year I really picked things up and averaged out a 3.7 for just my sophomore year, and now my GPA is at a 3.5 but I'm hoping to raise it further. I'm also taking all A.P. and Honors courses, am in lot of really good extracurricular activities, I founded an environmental club at my school and I also volunteer at my local library. I'm entering some short story competitions and hopefully I'll win those. My class rank is 90th out of 376 and I'm hoping to raise that up as well. If I keep getting straight A's and keep all this up what are my chances of getting into NYU? And are there any other things I can do to improve my chances?

Grades are good for tisch. but they are also looking for unique individuals, like actors and filmmakers. If u have made films, send them to nyu for evaluation.

I can't afford a video camera. But I've written a lot of stuff (including a 140 page screenplay) and an allegorical short story that killed in speech. Would my writings be a fair substitute?

I'm looking into selling this screenplay (a long shot I know--but I think it's probably the best thing I've ever written). Do you think that would improve my chances?

Yea sure. I think anything would be good.
