Academically, you’re alright, although that UW GPA is a bit low. Those ECs are not particularly strong for the Ivies and UChicago. Show that you have a passion for something, and excel in that particular category. But you know, it’s hard to predict Ivies and top tier colleges so you might have a chance!

Columbia: high reach
UVirginia: High match
UChicago: Reach
Tufts: Match
UPenn: Reach

Chance me back? Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback, Achilles…working on the specialized interest thing…trying to play the language card–skipping a level in spanish next year is the goal, and concentrating essays on that. Other than that, things are kinda sealed…it’s a little late to start anything now, since app season is fast approaching!

Good stats, enough to be lucked at. I agree with the point about a focused interest, your app is a little “fuzzy” right now. That might help more at a LAC or LAC type public.

UPenn (early decision): Reach
UVa (legacy status there): Match
Columbia:Reach
UChicago: Low Reach
Tufts: Match
Brown: Low Reach

For essays, show a focus. If you emphasize one of your activities (UN if you’re going to be an international relations major, science olympiad if you’re a biology major, ect) in your essay, your ECs will look more focused even if they aren’t. Good luck!
