Johns Hopkins is a great school--would probably be a match/slight reach for you. Don't forget about LACs, like Amherst and Williams. I'm not too familiar with Williams, but Amherst would probably be a match/reach, leaning more towards reach.

yeah i know theyre good schools but i think im more interested in a research university...who knows though, always good to consider

sorry another question!

does not having any awards really look bad?

Tell me, would those EC's be sufficient for Princeton or Columbia? I am not trying to contend anything, I am just curious. Because as far as I see, its not like the extra, super athlete type EC's that a typical ivy league student might have. Personally I like Andrassy's set of EC's partially because my EC's by Senior year might look similar. They seem like not too much, but at the same time a good variety.

I'm really interested in knowing what colleges you get into Andrassy. I too have some similar interests as you, aswell as frequent trips to Israel (once a year pretty much). Plus, Columbia and Princeton are my top favorite schools.

You gotta have one or two real BIG EC's, since those will make increase your chances significantly esp. at the top 25.

For example, I know an 18-year-old high schooler being elected as the "mayor" of his city (forgot which one). Now that is something big.

thats awesome a-san

im a junion now...im sure kids here will say that im not good enought but i intend to apply to columbia and other reach schools too, i just cant be TOO upset if i dont get in. just remembe the people on here giving chances prolly don t know more about admissiosn than you do =) i just like to know what other people think
