I'm aiming for Berkeley and my backup is LA and San Diego.

jyjchen:

UCB: Slight Reach
UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match

thanks! Do you know what I could do to up my chances at berkeley and la?

Don't tell the UCs that your parents pressured you to concentrate on grades and SATs over ECs in your personal statement. It's not really a bad thing, but it's really not going to make you stand out as an Asian applicant because we have roughly 11,000 of those types already attending UCLA (who had no ECs except Chinese school, piano lessons, violin lessons and Kumon). Talk about something unique about you that no one else has...

alright, thanks.

flopsy, you go to UCLA?????

Molly:

Yes.
