<p>Hello there,</p>

<p>I am a caucasion femal, (junior) from a very small town in Nebraska.</p>

<p>So, here it goes...</p>

<p>I have an UW GPA of 4.0 (our school doesn't offer any AP classes)
Have taken the hardest classes possible though.
I've only taken the ACT once, and got a 25. (Yes, I know... that must improve. :)) I definitley plan on retaking it again. I did also take the writing portion, and got a 10/12, and I'm looking at an english/lit major.. I REALLY enjoy writing. </p>

<p>For EC's I have been a varsity basketball and volleyball player for 3 years, track for 2. I have been on my school's student council all 3 years, and the yearbook committee two years. I'm on the National Honors Society, and "Who's Who in High School" (I'm not sure if this really counts or not.) Also, I've been on the dance team one year, and my school's one act/play production team two years now. Also, have been a member of our school's chapter of FBLA. </p>

<p>I've also done volunteer work at our community's nursing home and our local food bank. I also am in our church's youth group, and we do random little things around town too.</p>

<p>Granted, I know that UC is NOT easy to get into but I do kind of have my heart set on it. But, I'd like to know my chances. :) Thanks!!</p>

<p>Well your ACT score is a little iffy, if you could improve it the next time you take it you should be alright! One thing I noticed about your EC's you said like 2 years or 3 years for a bunch of them, colleges really like seeing consistency and sticking with your volunteer work/activities, so if you can say you did some stuff all 4 years that looks a lot better! See who you know who's president of a club that would back you up lol!</p>

<p>Anyway, you have a good shot pending ACT scores!</p>

<p>Yeah, I know what you mean...</p>

<p>Dance team, well, it wasn't my thing, for lack of better description. And for track, I couldn't go out one year, due to medical issues. Some things I didn't get turned on to until my sophomore year, and then decided to venture out. :) Thanks for chancing me!</p>
