"And, if it matters, I of hispanic descent." ..
honestly, i think out of all your stats, this one matters the most. (im not sure if it affects UC admisions as much as some private schools who are anal about affirmitive action)

and yes, i agree you are lucky freshman year doesnt count. its good you improved... your SAT I expected is still low... and AP Bio test last year was pretty hard.. you must be really good if you expect a 5, and with a 770, i do think you are heading in that direction.

I thought that there was some proposition banning the use of affirmative action in college admissions processes at UC schools. Hmm... So being Hispanic could still help me in a way at the UCs? I don't live in a low income family or anything...

yeah... proposition 209 made affirmative action illegal for the california government, including UC's... so being hispanic doesn't help you.. people with low income do get a boost though

You're aiming too low... You're more like a UCB/UCLA student. And that's not your UC GPA. You have a 4.29 GPA! 4.6 Junior year GPA is really impressive. They dont count freshman year (which you seem to have improved drastically from). And, with those APs... As a Berkeley acceptee myself, I think you're Berkeley material. You should apply to privates too. Hit up the lower ivies like Cornell and UPenn. Good job.

Oh, and during the summer from junior year to senior year, try to take courses at a community college geared towards your major (if you dont have anything planned already). I suggest not doing that math thing that everyone does unless you're going into engineering or something.

Thanks for your comments. I have another question: Would starting a club senior year mean anything to colleges? I just got a pretty good idea for a club, but it's too late to start it this year... Should I even try founding it next year as a senior?
