UF: Aim for 2000+/29+

Right now, I don’t see you getting admitted, but you can change that.

Your grades and unweighted GPA aren’t all that impressive, but your weighted GPA, rank, & ECs are fine. It’s also good that you started doing APs early on, and that you improved in them as the year passed. You DEFINITELY need a better reading score on the SAT.

Also, on my UF application (November 2011), there were fields for ECs, community service, awards, employment, and college preparatory experiences/activities. You didn’t mention any of those last 3, but having them would help. I had to leave those last 2 fields blank, and I still got accepted.

Overall, you need to improve your grades (less B’s, more A’s) and SAT reading score (don’t compromise your math or writing score in the process). Even if your grades weren’t to good to start out with, an upward tend in them will work in you favor.
