-Editor in chief of schools Yearbook committee (4 yrs)

-President of social justice Club at school. Annual assemblies, workshops to promote cultural competency, speakers, service projects. Received city-wide recognition in the newspaper for an MLK assembly I helped spearhead last year (4 yrs)
-President of Aerodynamic Engineering club (2 yrs)
-internship for the largest circulated English newspaper in India. Published plenty of articles and blog posts under their banner. The paper is a big deal over in India. I was offered a job to continue writing throughout my senior school year.
-Internship for congresswoman from my state starting junior year and into senior year. She has recently been getting a lot of national and international attention and has been making a lot of waves. The internship was originally unpaid. However, since many students involved in the internship are low-income students from the local state university (I am the only highschooler), I spearheaded efforts to make the internship a paid opportunity. I got testimonies from all my peers and helped craft a letter to the congresswoman, asking for reimbursement and steady pay for our work. I am happy to say that our efforts worked out. (2 yrs)
-Founded an online magazine that takes submissions from students near the end of junior year. Decent amount of viewers (2 yrs)
-Played badminton for 10 years, nationally ranked, gold player, play in tournaments across the nation, invitationals although my ranking isn’t high enough to be that impressive, coach young players at a local clinic.
-I serve on my city’s government as a member of its youth council (4 yrs)
-Played piano for 15 years, lessons, play in churches, school performances, and the like. Basic stuff.
-Volunteer at local nonprofit twice a week. Tutoring Low income children. Have over a 100 hours while my school only requires 50 to graduate (2 yrs)
-Oxford tradition program at Oxford university, studying journalism and psychology (10th)

Awards (lol): AP Scholar, National Merit Commended, Oxford Tradition Journalism Award. pretty laughable

Recs: AP English professor. Got a B+ First semester, but she REALLY likes me. She knows the B+ was only due to my struggles with timed writing, as those were the only assignments I did poorly on, so she will likely go to bat for me
Calc Professor: Loves me, straight up said I am the best student in the class and one of the best calculus students she’s ever had
Additional Rec: Editor in chief of the newspaper in India I work for. He used to be a Harvard Professor, and is lowkey very famous.

Stats and ECs are fine. No need to retake the SAT. However, your awards could definitely use some more work for schools like UPenn or Brown. Also, pay attention to your college essays, because those are important as well. But other than that, keep doing what you’re doing and you should be fine.

bump

Bump again lol

I agree with the the first poster. You’ll be competitive but the acceptance rates are very low.
