No chance at Upenn, UVA
I guess you are okay at the others
Top 15% will kill you and then that SAT score seals the deal. 1320+570=1890.

Well, just to give you an idea of the competition at our school... My school doesn't publish class rank or gpa on students' transcripts because the top 25% in our school could be top 10% easily in any other school in the state. But I guess you're right about my SATS. Any ideas on what I should aim for (out of 2400) to have a good chance at UVA?

That doesn't explain your SAT scores. UVA is hard to get into out of state. Why do you want to go? UVA out of state is hard and you could get into better schools that are the same selectivity.

I think you should have a 2100-2200. I know your HS is competitive but UVA is a STATE SCHOOL. They care the most about rank/gpa rather than SAT which is a bit different from privates.

Can you raise your rank or something? Aim for a 2200+ though since you are out of state and you never know.

UVA has a good architecture major and is a university close to where I live right now. So I guess the main reasons are convenience and the good academic reputation that it has. My SAT's scores are much lower than most people near my rank and I'm actually ashamed to tell any of my friends who score in the 2100's on average. Are you sure 2200 would be required? I know a kid from my school that was admitted into UVA early decision with a 1910 SAT score. He wasn't anything too special either, no amazing traits that made him stand out. I appreciate your input stern, thanks!
