<p>First off, I have not taken the SAT because I just found out that WF does not accept ACT scores soo.........</p>

<p>Band:
9th-Marching Band, 3rd Chair Concert Band
10th-Marching Band, 1st & 2nd Chair Concert Band(Kept alternating)
11th-Marching Band, Section Leader, 1st Chair Concert Band
12th- Marching Band, Section Leader, I do not know what chair I will get in Concert Band because it's Marching Band season now.</p>

<p>NHS - 10th, 11th, 12th</p>

<p>I work at Chick-Fil-A(Mmmmmmm, I could go for some right now!) around 20+ hours per week.</p>

<p>Band Awards/Recognitions:
Most Outstanding - 11th grade
Halftime Field Solo - 10th, 11th, 12th(I am getting one this year!)
Solo & Enesemble - 15 medals (solos, duets, + 2 enesembles)</p>

<p>I have been selected for.......
Montevallo Honor Band
University of North Alabama Honor Band
University of Alabama Honor Band
Gadsen State Honor Band</p>

<p>I'm a black male who goes to a public Alabama High School</p>

<p>Also, I'm not sure, but I think my standardized test scores will be poor, but I'm hoping for excellence, so base this as if my scores were low.

<p>How much weight do they put on standardized test scores? i'm not really sure, but i have a friend who's stats are pretty much like neck in neck with mine, even in the extracurriculars and everything. she was just right bhind me in the ranking by 1 spot, and her SAT's were only lower than mine by 10 measly points and she didn't get in. but then again, the one who ranked above me by 1 spot didn't get in either, and he had an SAT score 130 points higher than me.......so....i think they really look at EVERYTHING.....hope that helps</p>

<p>I see, could you tell me what you think my chances are? I'd like to apply to the other awesome southern schools in which I do not think will be too much of a reach like Vanderbilt and Emory. For Emory, I have a ton of stuff going my way which is why I'm applying, ED might I add;) But, if that doesn't work out, I'd like to have WFU as a backup.</p>

<p>Is ur gpa weighted or unweighted? u got strong band background, but i'd take up a couple or so more academic clubs, if possible. since u have a job, that's good.....</p>
