Chances at Wellesley and Cornell and others..

Chinese, US citizen abroad, competitive public high school in China
top 10% at school
SAT: 620(CR)+800(M)+710(W)=2130, not very impressive
ACT: 35
SAT II: 800(M2), 800(Physics), 800(Chem)
ECs and stuff: Model UN, Scientific research in university lab, English drama club, creative writing(with country-wide contest award), student helper for earthwatch project, AIME participation(2 yrs)
teacher recs: 2 from teachers in China, 1 from teacher in US, if that would help

I guess I'm not very strong applicant anywhere with those scores and ECs. But I'm really, really interested in Wellesley and Cornell so I'd like to know my chances. I am also applying to UIUC, Purdue, uh maybe MIT because I just want to try, some LACs like Carleton (big reach), Pomona (another reach), and I-don't-know. Maybe some fit school suggestions, too.

Thank you

What is your GPA?

Chinese schools don't use GPAs---they give separate scores for each subject. All A's I've got. I would estimate an 95/100. (I'm taking the hardest classes)

In at Wellesley. And probably Carleton.

Pomona, MIT, and Cornell are reaches.

Wellesley: High match
Cornell: Low reach
Pomona:low reach
MIT: high reach
Carleton: High match
