Chances at Whartons

I'm going to be a senior this fall at a competitive school in the Northeast.

I want to pursue a career in finance so I can hopefully pursue a career in banking.

Here are my stats:
Generally pretty good grades (6As, 8A-s, and 6Bs)
I calculated my unweighted gpa based on A=4, B=3, C=2, etc to be around 3.75 which is weighted at 3.90 at our school. I have one of the most rigorous course loads with 3 APs last year(bio(3-4), ush(4-5), stats(5)) and 4 more next year (physics, chem, psych, calc bc).

I am in the top 10% of my class of ~400 people

SATs (taken once and will retake)
2200 (720 M, 720 CR, 760 WR)

SAT IIs
Chem - 750
Bio - 720
Math IIc - hopefully atleast 750+ because I am studying all summer for it

Extra-Curriculars
- 9, 10, 11, 12 Two year captain of the Forensics team (placed in the top 6 at numerous local events)
- 9, 10, 11, 12 Elected Student Council Representative (Only class elected member for all 3 years of high school, so far and VP for senior year)
- 10, 11 Science Team (placed 1st in the state in the Chemistry Lab event and 4th in a few other events)
- 10 A member of DECA (placed second in the district, top 10 in the state, and also received an achievement award for scoring fourth highest on the state written test in the event Sport and Entertainment Marketing and Management)
- 9, 10, 11 12 Math Team
- 10, 11, 12 National Honor Society

Other Awards I didnt cover
- Scored in the 91st percentile on the National German Exam both my freshman and sophomore year (my teacher is extremely difficult, that's why my grades don't show it. How will colleges view this?)
- AIME qualifier by getting over a 100 on the AMC 12 sophomore and junior year

Well it's a reach. If you go to a very competitive school you have a better chance. You also have a better chance if by northeast you mean VT and not MA or CT!! Shoot for an 800 on math IIC, that's what Wharton wants to see from the unhooked candidate.

for penn:
SAT I= middle of the pile
SAT IIs= mediocre
EC doesn't stand out, local awards doesn't give you much weight.
awards= mediocre

you'll be lucky if you even get into penn, let along wharton

ouch thanks for the honesty. I wasn't even going to apply to upenn to begin with but my mom said she'd pay for the application fee if I applied.

And I started my own web business that makes about $300-400 a month. I don't know if that will help me any.

yeah it will
