chances at yale, harvard, princeton, ect.?

I'll read your essay too!

"reject from HYPSBP, accept/waitlist at the rest" -psychotickevin.

That's absurd. Surely with such outstanding academics and good ECs, you can expect, at least, waitlist at some of the Ivy Leagues. I mean, come on guys, don't forget the AVERAGE SAT score, for instance, at an Ivy is like a 2200 (at most)....average! That means many get in with BELOW this score. This applicant has a 2300!!!! Now, for all you Ivy League CC people, this might not seem like much, but please--don't forget the average statistics.

Notwithstanding these phenominal SAT scores, this person's high school academics are strong. Emily--I'd say with confidence that you have a good chance at any of the school to which you've applied. The only concern I have is in regards to the engineering: yes--you're a female and that'll help your chances, but you haven't taken an AP test in a science or math and, although you had a perfect SAT Math score, you did poorly (as far as engineering applicants should be concerned) on the SAT Chemistry exam and dencently on the SAT Biology.

^^ probably another sore applicant with ~2300 SAT whose inflated ego was hurt by my comment

psychotickevin-just curious, why do you think ill be rejected from HYPSBP? lack of ECs/hook?

aYaleluia-thanks for the encouragement! yes i havent taken any AP in math or science, but neither have any other prospective engineers at my school. we cannot take calculus until senior year, and this is the first year BC is even offered because my class is stronger than the previous ones. for science, we have to follow this order honors bio, honors chem, honors physics, then an AP of one of the three. im in AP physics this year. its possible to take AP chem junior year, but since i want to do engineering i thought taking physics would be bettter.

and yes i admit for the 670 chem. subject test i was not prepared. also there were some cirumstances that probably influenced my score--taking the test 45 minutes away from home, waiting outside for an hour after 8 to get in, no bathrooms, in a ghetto, plane to catch later that afternoon. it was a horrible experience.

and bio was taken freshman year, id probably do better now just cuz im older.

haha that was kinda long..sorry.

anyone else?

lack of leadership and depth. all i see are some generic boring ECs

no hook too
