hell...no! it is extremely competitive being an international...esp. for a place like MIT, which has "country quotas"

your scores etc. is good (but like some1 told me or as i read somewhere: in china, even if you are 1 in a million...you got to remember that there are 1400 more like you...) j/k

u have the scores, if you have decent ecs and write a good essay...you have a good chance

Well, It is NOT a good news to be in the international pool for most people. However, for you it might be a good thing. Why? Since most international applicants are truely international...that is they are not educated inside of the US education system. Given your class rank I would safely assume that you would be placed top among the international applicants. I wouldn't worry about the Math IC too much given the fact that you got a 5 in Calc BC..

I agree with ctsurgery.
many Chinese or Japanese appliants can get a perfect math score, but CR is very very difficult to them.
Singaporean/indian have different cases

im one of those chinse with math 800 and 580 CR T_T (but hopefully, i can get tht up if i study), i think u hav a good shot nevertheless, provided u hav good ecs and essays
