To me thats a record suit to go to Harvard. Grats I think its a safety but don't know much bout these things. Play you chess sometime ^_^.

EDIT: hmm aren't you the dude that posted that joke? Is this another joke....didn't read it thrugh but that souds a bit too good to be true...

Learn how to spell and you might have a chance, mostly because of the legacy. Don't really see anything that stands out though, scores and everything else is moderate.

what's with the : LolOolOlOl ?

vehement:no , no joke, foir real, yes i did post joke because i wasd fed up with anxious overachievers (like our dear Tami here LOLOLOLOL) posting their nauseatingly exhaustive ECs lol
Tami: i should swear at you but i wont. Suffice it to say that you dont know what the H*** ur talking about so shut the bvleeding H*** up. Thanks, AND ALSO quite topically, U Go girl!! Im sure Trenton Community College will love to have u and the other brainless rejects from the finer institutions
go find some other place to assert your pathetic need for self esteem u brainless weakling
lol and, last but not least, FY!!!!!!lol

You have a really good chance. I'm not even sure why you're posting here because you're almost a shoe-in. Just don't go to your interview and say stuff like "You should accept me because my mom went there."

And, stop it with the "olOPLOLOl"s; we get get it.

Its a safety. Lose the mensa on the app, it makes you look pompous.

I used Northwestern as my safety (and got in), its not that ridiculous to have Cornell as yours.

Cornell grad legacy only gives you legacy for Cornell grad school.

You have a good chance but you also could easily be rejected. I'd find a real safety if I were you.

It looks like I'm the only one with the cajones to tell you this: an Ivy League school is not a safety. I don't care how perfect you might be, kids with 1600 and 4.0s get rejected at Cornell and Penn all the time. Granted, it looks like you have a pretty good package here though. You probably have a better than average chance of getting in to Cornell. But by no means can you call it a "safety," meaning that there is a 70-100% chance that you'll get in. To think of an Ivy League school in such a way shows tremendous arrogance and hubris. If I were you, I would apply to Cornell anyway, but also apply to a legitimate "safety" school. For you, that could be anywhere from Colgate to Trinity College. The fact is that the college process is NOT a fair and rational system; there is the chance that you could be rejected from Cornell, and then you'll wish that you had an actual safety.

"vehement:no , no joke, foir real, yes i did post joke because i wasd fed up with anxious overachievers (like our dear Tami here LOLOLOLOL)"

Hmm, how odd. I've never posted up my EC's or anything of my stats on this board before, how do you know if I'm an overachiever or not? Let's not be so judgemental now.

"Suffice it to say that you dont know what the H*** ur talking about so shut the bvleeding H*** up."

First of all, what does bvleeding mean? Like I said, LEARN HOW TO SPELL.

And how can you say I don't know what I'm talking about? It's my opinion, and who gave you a right to say if my opinion is right or wrong?

u brainless weakling

LOL great job. But I'm sorry to burst your bubble, I'll be attending Wellesley this year.

People who get into Ivies not only show great devotion, but their personal characters are really warm-hearted people. Unlike you, who go off erupting from a tiny opinion. I doubt ANY college wants a candidate with such a digusting attitude like yourself.

In addition, I find it more SICK that you call people who end up at community colleges "brainless rejects".

WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT? Seriously. How can you call them such things when you don't even know HOW they ended up there? Maybe it was a family crisis, lack of money, but WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE to judge these students? Maybe you've had some great opportunities in life, but what about people who don't?

Ugh. People like you make me SICK.

as you can see tami, chessdude is a pompous ass, firstly for the community college statement and secondly for calling cornell his safety.
did he actually mean what he wrote about you? i mean, what you wrote wasn't even the least bit offensive.

anyway, vehement, about the joke, was it a joke about fictional horrible stats? Cause if it was, then i might have been the poster.

my dream school is a "safety" to chessdude. And yet I have better stats than him. I am not here to be pompous, I am just shocked by chessdude's stupid statements.

Seth, i was refering to a previous post he made and I didn't read how he called community college students rejects.

I didnt realize chessdude was a pompous ass. I think the best safety overall though is Michigan. You get accepted in October so it really makes things easy. That is why Northwestern was my safety, I could have totally seen myself at Michigan if I weren't accepted to my target Ivies.

actually after rereading this, I think this is a hoax.

slipper1234, did you send 5 rec letters to the ivies?

do u get legacy @ cornell if an aunt or uncle went there or does it have to be a parent???

No. I just sent in the required amount (2-3 per school) plus one outside one.

son is that 4 in total?

Cornell is NOT a safety school. Find another one.
