Chances @ Cornell, UT, A&M

Hi,
I was wandering what are my chances? Thanks in advance.

GPA: approx. 3.85

SAT I (1st): M: 620 V: 670 C: 510
SAT I (2nd): M: 620 V: 730 C: 590
SAT I (3rd): M: 650 V: 700 C: 600
SAT II: Math Level I, French, US History : TBD in October

Rank: Haven't received the latest rank, but last year I was in the top 22, and I could have only moved up since I improved my GPA: So around 20-22%.

AP Classes:
US History (5), French (5), Biology (?), Environmental Science (?), Human Geography (?), Calculus AB (?), Psychology (?), Government/Economics (?)

Class Rigor: I took 1 Honors course Freshmen year since I was misinformed and made some wrong choices. I took 1 pre-AP course and 1 AP course for which I did not even take the AP during my sophomore year. (Again, poor choice) My junior year, I took 2 APs and 1 pre-AP. And this year I'm taking 5 APs, 1 regular and 1 off-period. Total: 31 credits.

Extracurricular:

Sport: Varsity Ice Hockey (4 years - Assistant Captain/? this year)

Clubs: Interact Club (4 years) Earth Club (2 years) NHS (2 years) French Club (3 years - Treasurer/Vice President)

Volunteering: 100+ hours through school clubs and YES program. Additionally, this past summer I volunteered at the Memorial Hermann in downtown Houston and received 50 hours.

Work:

Local Ice Rink (started this past July) I work around 20 hrs/week.

Awards:

NHS

Academic Excellence

Texas French Symposium (Placed 1st place in State competition)

Fastest Skater Award (1st place)

Thanks for reading this, I just wanted you to approximate my chances and give me some tips/hints for the app process. Thanks a lot. BTW: I'm also applying ED to Cornell.

Anyone please?

Maybe A&M. If you’re in-state, you have a way better chance too.
Your score is pretty good.for the later two. The only thing is the rank. Only if it was a little higher…

But i’d say definitely not Cornell.

Definitely not? I thought I had some minute chance if I were to apply ED.

^I’d agree with definitely not.

superscore SAT doesn’t even break 2000, no chance at Cornell sorry man.

And for you to be ranked only top 20% with a 3.85 GPA indicates that your GPA is inflated.

Yeah SAT is a weak point of mine, but GPA in my school is based on honors classes. I only took 1 my freshmen year, that’s why there is the inflation.

Sorry to say, but if you apply to Cornell, there’s no guarantee they’d even want to take more than a glance at your profile. Unless there’s something really special you’re not telling us.
But your chances at UT and A&M aren’t bad.

So AFP you’re saying that GPA is weighted for honors/AP? So you’re unweighted GPA is likely below 3.5. Absolutely no chance at Cornell then.

You should be able to get into A&M and UT though.

No, My UW is 3.85+, Weighted GPA is out of 6.0, it’s a little different.

Either way, you are not likely at all. Even if you do get in, you would probably flunk out. Cornell is said to be the easiest to get in but the hardest to get out from. Half of it is public you know.

Of*
word count

Ah, ok, well thanks anyway.
