White Female
Delaware

I am a white female interested in Asian Studies. I have taken 5 years of Spanish, and hope to continue this in college. I also want to continue taking Chinese, which I have been studying on my own, while in college.

I have taken the hardest possible courseload at my school. I took 3 APs my junior year (U.S. History - 5, Eng Lang - 5, Chem - 4) and all honors classes.

My senior year courses are: AP Economics, AP Calc AB, AP Envi Sci, AP Literature, UD Organic Chemistry (college course taught by a University of Delaware prof), Physics (honors), and Spanish Conversation (honors).

My school is very unique, because it is a math science charter school, with some students starting their freshman year in Calc AB or BC. However, I am much stronger in the humanities. Regardless, it's an extremely competitive school. For example, 3 of the 8 students on the national physics team were from my school and over 10 of our seniors got accepted into UPenn alone, 3 into Harvard, etc

I am interested in applying ED to either Cornell or Northwestern (both have very strong asian studies programs - especially Cornell). I think I could be really happy at either school. I have visited Cornell, but cannot visit NW because it's too far away (parents' decision lol)

Other schools I'm considering are Skidmore, Lehigh, and U of Chicago.

Any input is really appreciated =)
