Northwestern A & S Early Decision
Cornell A & S ED
UPENN
Washington University in St. Louis
Lehigh
Bucknell
Colgate
Carnegie Mellon
University of Rochester

Anything to say about Northwestern vs. Cornell. I'm deciding between the two for ED.

Cornell A & S ED - low reach
UPENN - reach
Washington University in St. Louis - low reach
Lehigh - match
Bucknell - match
Colgate - match
Carnegie Mellon - high match
University of Rochester - match

Well you have outstanding SAT scores and EC’s, I think your GPA is a little low for Cornell just because its an Ivy League, but because of everything else, I think it could definitely happen

Cornell-Its a stretch, but not that big a stretch
UPENN- My friend got into UPENN and she had way less extracurriculars but she probably had at least a 4.0 GPA so it could happen
Lehigh- My best friend goes there, you have much better stats than she does so definitely
Bucknell- Definitely
Colgate- Match
Carnegie Mellon and University of Rochester- Consider those safeties

Carnegie Mellon and University of Rochester are most certainly NOT safeties.
Your GPA is rather low for these schools and its not really offset by your SAT score, which is just “okay” for the upper tier schools on your list. None of these schools are a “definitely” type of situation.
You have chances at all of the schools but I doubt they are anywhere near safeties.

Northwestern A&S ED-low reach
Cornell A & S ED - low reach
UPENN - high reach
Washington University in St. Louis - low reach/high target
Lehigh - match
Bucknell - match
Colgate - high match
Carnegie Mellon - high match
University of Rochester - match/low match

You have good shots at all of your schools, however your reading score is low in comparison to your other stats. I don’t think that’s too big of a deal as long as you don’t want to go into journalism or something like that.
