<p>Hi everyone, I'm from Omaha, NE and I was just wondering if you'd give me your opinions on my chances of being admitted to Stanford. Sorry, I know there's a lot of these threads...</p>

<p>Academics:</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 (unweighted), 4.7 (weighted)
Class Rank: 3/170
SATI: 2230 - M 710, CR 720, W 800
ACT: 34</p>

<p>Major: Interdisciplinary Study in the Humanities, maybe Philosophy or History</p>

<p>ECs:
President of Speech and Debate Team (2 yrs - Varsity Letter)
2006 Conference Individual and Team Championships
President of FBLA Club
Eagle Scout (I was also Senior Patrol Leader for a year and Patrol Leader for several before that)
Mock Trial Team (placed 3rd and 4th in state competition - Varsity Letter)
Concert Choir (Student Board Member and Varsity Letter)
Several Musicals and Theatre Productions
JV Bowling Team
Varsity Trap Shooting Team
Member of Minsitry Council and Student Council</p>

<p>Awards:
Placed 4th and 5th (Freshman and Junior years) in the state on the National Spanish Exam
Outstanding Theology Student (10th Grade)
Outstanding Male Vocalist (10th Grade)</p>

<p>Other:
-I've taken the most rigorous courses my school offers
-250+ hours of community service
-I've been in NHS for 2 years
-Recs should be pretty good</p>

<p>Your SAT is better than your ACT.</p>

<p>You've got the numbers and stats, make sure you shine in your essays like everyone else that gets in (like myself hopefully).</p>

<p>i like how your like normal, like you dont have insane awards that 1 in 3947974 teens get. i say you have a good chance, you seem balanced and focused. if this were on myspace, id give you 2 kudos.</p>

<p>Yeah... My buddies convinced me to join even though I suck horrendously at bowling. (I am getting a tad better, though)</p>

<p>I would think 2230 Vals from Nebraska are quite rare. That should help a bit. Other than that, it's kinda the luck of the draw but you look solid across the board.</p>
