Chances for a Junior?

I'm a Junior so some things will be aproximate, especially considering that I haven't taken SATs, SATIIs, but I have provided good estimates. Never too early to plan!

GPA- 90.5 Unweighted.
SAT- Will get above a 2100 for sure, aiming for 2300.
SATIIs Will be taking in Physics, U.S. History , Math Level 2. Will get above 700 in all 3 for sure.
APs- This year I am taking Physics B and American History. Next year I will be taking either Biology or Chemistry and Calculus BC. 4 is a lock on the AP tests.
EC- (all these are what I will be applying with.)
4 years of Marching Band, 2 as section leader (possibly one as drum major).
3 years Model Congress.
2 years volunteering at hospital.
Internship at hospital.
Shadow a doctor at hospital.
Research at hospital.
3 years monitoring in Biology department at school.
Reccomendations-One from my AP physics teacher should be solid, another from a chairman of the hospital that I volunteered at (should be very solid aswell, spent a lot of time with him). And the third is yet to be decided.

Class rank is something silly like past 200 because my graduating class has 1200 kids, and it is a very competitive high school. (However I don't think we give out rank).

Schools I will likely be applying to (I know the list is reach heavy, so feel free to suggest a safety or match ;-))

Sophie Davis
Pace
NYU
LIU
George Washington University
Fordham
Columbia
Johns Hopkins
U Penn
Binghamton
University of Rochester
Brandeis

Thanks in advance!

Just warning you, don't get too premature about your SATs and APs. Seems like you're sure you'll get at least 700 and 4 on everything, and that's not a safe strategy.

However, if you accomplish your goals, I think you have a solid chance at all the schools up there. Columbia and Penn are a bit of a reach, but it won't hurt to try. Basically my main advice to you now is not to overestimate yourself, which forgive me, it seems like you are doing.

On all my SAT practice exams I finish with a 2100 or higher except one. I'm thinking by senior year I can improve it a bit. As for the APs, if how well I am doing in the class is any sign of how I will do on the test I think I can get a 4. (Currently have a grade higher than 100 in American, 93 in Physics). The SATIIs shouldn't be that much harder or maybe even easier than the AP tests, no? I hope, and think I am covered. I know my GPA is out of place with these kind of scores... But GPAs can be decieving ;-). Thank you for your help and input!

Yeah, I wouldn't get too cocky. The correlation between AP scores and class grades is marginal. Your GPA (basically 3.5 on 4.0 scale) doesn't suggest that you will do that well so I'd watch out. Some practice tests are not representative of the real thing. However, Johns Hopkins, UPenn, NYU, Columbia, and Brandeis are the only selective schools on your list. You're a shoo-in at Pace and LIU if you make anywhere close to what you say. George Washington, Fordham, Binghamton, and URochester are all safe matches if you get those scores.

What about Sophie Davis? It is really the school where I would like to go most.

Also, assuming I do get those scores, what do you think my chances of Johns Hopkins, UPenn, NYU, Columbia, and Brandeis are?

So are SAT practice tests..
Sorry, it's hard to take you seriously when you're bragging about something you didn't even achieve, lol.. sorry about this unproductive post, but I hope it gives new light to your situation..?

I'm not bragging. I just said what I believe I will get. True SAT practice tests CAN be deceiving. I hope no one took what I said as bragging, especially as you said, I haven't achieved anything yet. I just posted scores that I believe are realistic for me. And any post that you make is productive since it keeps this thread at the top ;-).

i thought i was gonna rock those crappy tests...and the outcome was unfortunate...three times in a row. I have always been an amazing tester...too bad it left me the moment i needed it. also with aps....I got a's in my statistics class, and really understood it and did great, but i got a 3...i was extreemly dissapointed. Psych however i rocked the class along with the test. what I am trying to say is that u really dont know anything until u get the scores back. I wish u luck tho...im sure ull do ok jsut dont get ur hopes up, cuz i didnt, btu i had confidence in my testing and i was in for a surprise. it wasnt my confidence it was the tests itself that got me...they were hard.

Thanks for your response, deffinetly something for me to ponder about. It's hard for me to get my hopes up because no matter what I get my crappy GPA will bring it down. :-/
