I'm an Asian (Korean), and I'm attending an International School in Vienna, Austria.

My essays look ok in my opinion, especially the one for U Chicago.

My college list:
Early
UChicago
Georgetown

Regular
Stanford
Brown or UPenn
Tufts
Johns Hopkins
Northwestern
U Michigan
George Washington
U Illinois-Urbana Champaign

How are my chances?

Here's what I think (remember, take everything ANYONE says with a grain of salt):

Reach: UChicago (low reach, unless your essay really demonstrates that you're seriously intellectual), Stanford, Brown, UPenn, Georgetown, Hopkins

Good match: Northwestern, Tufts, George Washington

Saftey: U Michigan, U-Illinois

Thanks dude for your reply.

High Reach: Stanford
Reach: Brown, UPenn
Match: UChicago, Georgetown, Tufts, Johns Hopkins, Northwestern, U Michigan
Low Match/Safety: George Washington, U Illinois-Urbana Champaign

The schools Sam Lee called Match are Reaches, IMO.

How about Dartmouth?
Do you guys think that I have no chance there?

Accepted everywhere with Georgetown giving you a hard time to get into. The state schools will give you a full ride depending on your financial situation. Have fun at the college of your choice. Best of luck in the admissions process.

Rutgers, you have posted a similar message over 10 times in the last 30 minutes. Trying to get your post count up? Please at least try reading the OP's post before commenting.

Big Reach: Stanford
Reach: Brown, UPenn, Georgetown
High Match: UChicago, Tufts, Johns Hopkins
Match: Northwestern, UMich
Safety: George Washington, UIllinois-Urbana Champaign

What the hell is your problem? I did read his post, and the OP has an obviously good application. His scores are good, his GPA is high, his EC's are there. What more do you want him to say? As long as he rights an awesome essay, he is a good applicant for alot of his schools. Beat it kid.

Good applicant yes, accepted, not necessarily. 20,000 good applicants means that somebody's gotta go. What compels the adcoms to admit him over another good student? Especially given the fact that he's an international student, which means that he has to compete against his entire country for just a few spots.

sinistercharity,

FYI: Northwestern has higher test scores than Tufts, JHU, and Georgetown.

How about Dartmouth dudes?
Is it a reach for me?
Is Dartmouth easier to get into than UPenn or Brown? (I know it's a stupid question, but I just want to know)

Eh it's not all about test scores, especially when those schools are in question. I believe his overall application makes him a strong applicant for Northwestern.

I'd say Dartmouth is a high match to a slight reach. Perhaps a little easier than Penn and Brown, but not much.

^Nah, Dartmouth wouldn't even been considered a high match... It's just as hard as Penn and Brown, maybe harder
