chances for a very unusual girl...?

Yup, it is near impossible to transfer between top tier colleges. I know stanford has a 98% retention rate, allowing very few openings for the mass amount of transfers they receive. Same for other schools like MIT, which always take less than 10 transfers a year (most transferring after 1st semester of freshmen year)

um, i don't know who told you that, but i talked to 3 different admissions officers, and they all said that last year, stanford accepted 101 transfers. :)

and check u.s news for stanford transfer: 1000 applied/101 accepted/81 matriculated. 10%. about the same as freshman.

and actually, its MUCH easier to transfer to some (read: SOME) top tier colleges than it is to get in as a freshman. Brown accepted almost 30% of transfers last year. Cornell was 33%! Dartmouth was around 13%, about the same as freshman.

hopefully.

i don't think the poetry.com thingy is an award. I got that every single year and i only wrote one dumb poem as a joke one year...then the letters came...
