Hi, I am a rising senior at a public high school in Northern Virginia. I'm starting to apply to colleges but am wary to pay the application fees for schools I'm not sure I'm going to get into. (They add up!) Right now I don't really have a dream school, and am not sure exactly where I want to go, but I am looking at schools in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region and don't really have too much desire to go south or west. I am looking at schools in relatively urban areas as well- because I am still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do, I'd like the more stimulating environment of a city.

Schools I have open in my Common App right now: Barnard College, American University, Fordham University, Vassar College (not very urban), Bryn Mawr, Drexel (?)

Stats:
34 on the ACT, took it once last June... don't really want to take it again
3.87 GPA, or thereabouts (unweighted)
APs: World History (5), Lang (5), Macro (5), U.S. History (5), Micro (4), Chem (4)
Planning on taking U.S. Govt., Comp. Govt., Calc BC, and Statistics this year
I've taken one class for dual credit with a local community college

Extracurriculars:
Involved in theatre for all of high school (I am a techie)
Participant in a local theatre review program, where my review was selected for publication in the Washington Post (but in their "Young Journalists" section so not really lol)
Kickboxing for three years, pursuing it competitively (coach wants me to wait until I turn 18 to put me in the ring)
I do volunteer work with different local arts festivals
Job at a cafe... about 35-40 hours a week during the summer, just 7 hours during the school year
Mathletes...
A big problem of mine is that I am a dabbler... I get really into certain activities for a short period of time but then move onto something else. Are there any schools that could cultivate my dabbling nature? :)

Misc:
I am white/"other" (middle eastern)
I am a Yale double legacy (but no big donations or anything so does it even matter? haha)
in the <60,000 income bracket (though I was in <15,000 income bracket for the first 3 years of high school, would this make a difference for financial aid?)
I lived abroad for 6 years and moved back to the U.S. for high school

Please let me know of my chances (if any) at these colleges! And if you can think of any schools I should check out, please let me know! Thank you :)
