I'm a rising senior at a pretty good public high school in MA located in the suburbs of Boston. I'm either going to major in business administration or economics. Here are some of my stats:

GPA: 3.13 UW (3.63 W)
Class Rank: a couple spots in/out of the top quarter (will find out soon hopefully)
All Honors classes throughout HS (AP Calc AB, AP Psych next year)
4-year varsity athlete in a single sport
1-year school newspaper
200+ community service hours
Work experience
6-week internship at accounting firm

ACT: 28
SAT: CR 590 M 710 W 610 (1300/1910)
Unsure if I will be retaking either one

Schools I plan on applying to:

Boston University
Fairfield University
Ithaca College
Northeastern University
Quinnipiac University
Syracuse University
University of Connecticut
University of Massachusetts - Amherst
University of New Hampshire

I'm also looking to replace BU with a similar reach school in New England/NY/PA. Any suggestions or comments appreciated.

You would definately get into UNH based on SAT/ACT scores. Ithaca and Fairfield are probably matches for you too. I'm not sure about the other schools, but as far as PA goes Penn State University Park would be a good match school.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am also considering adding Marist to the list and will check out the other suggested schools.

MDog795 - I don't think Amherst will be a reach. I understand the Isenberg is very competitive, so I will be applying as an Economics major there.

Yeah, UMass-Amherst is a definite safety. I would check and see if Penn State University Park will accept the weighted gpa. I know their gpa average is around a 3.6-3.7. That may be unweighted. I definitely agree, though, that you should take a look at Penn State University Park. As for the rest, here's how I think they stack up:

Penn State places 2/3 of their decision based on GPA and 1/3 on SAT's. They will look at the GPA (weighted or unweighted) that is sent to them. My daughter applied to BU with a 4.24 weighted GPA and SAT's similar to yours and was accepted. We chose PSU since it is a great value for us here in PA.
