Chances for an OOS Student at UVA?

Everyone will have mid year report as outstanding for ea. dean j posted on her blog last year motto worry about that. UVA will contact u if u are missing anything

Thank you for the responses.

The in-state/out of state battle has continued for several decades. The political compromise that was reached was the ratio will stay the same, provided that UVa increases the total undergrad enrollment in gradual phases. That makes room for more in-state students, which is understandable considering the fact that Virginia’s population increased by almost one million in the last decade. It also makes room for more out of state students, who provide much of the revenue to run the U. However, UVa’s agreement to increase enrollment was conditioned upon the State increasing the state funding in porportion to the increased in-state enrollment. If the money doesn’t come through, the enrollment is not supposed to go up, as I understand it. President Sullivan said the U. can handle increased enrollment in phases - as long as enough new profs are hired.

I think the mid-year report is listed because different school systems (including different countries) have different timing for mid-year reports.

Remember early applicants: many are deferred for an admissions decision later in the year. Don’t get senioritis, or your mid-year grades may keep you out of the U.
