anyone? second page bump

Don't know much about the other schools, so I'll just chance you on the UCs.

UCSD = reach
UCSB = mid reach
UCD = mid reach
UCI = mid reach
UCSC = match
UCR = match

I don't know how much the upward trend matters for UCs, but I think it should help you a bit. You should consider raising your SAT and SAT IIs to make up for your lack of APs and low GPA.

Um... well, several people responded to you on your almost identical thread... Here is the link I gave you on that: CaliforniaColleges.edu - Home You can enter all of your information and that site will generate a list of California Colleges - public and private - that meet your qualifications. It would help the "chancers" out there if you did some of the work and narrowed the list a bit.

One hint: It is "Santa Clara University," not university of santa clara.

Oh - for your UC gpa - your honors courses might not be weighted in the UC calculation. (Your AP class will be weighted.) You need to search for your high school here: https://doorways.ucop.edu/list/servlet.jsf;jsessionid=7FE01615ECFEAD5BAFD1EE77561143D8?_flowExecutionKey=_c60D5F055-63CA-1200-8D1F-C4125C9DA8FC_k442C706D-2F3F-BF8D-2D6C-52B1C23906E0 to see if they will be given the extra weight. Then calculate your GPA using only UC-approved courses (no P.E. or non-academic classes) from your high school's approved course list for 10th and 11th grades. Add an extra point for your AP class and for honors classes ONLY if they are listed as eligible for extra weight on your course list.

alright thanks, yeah i knew about that. lots of my honors didn't count. so can i get some chances?

anyone? any more input? what would sdsu be?

Slightly off topic, but I was wondering why a lot of your honors didn't count at a really good high school. All the strong high schools in CA that I know of (admittedly, only about 10 or 20) clear their curriculum with the UCs and have them counted as honors courses. If it doesn't impact your anonymity, what school do you go to?

Frankly, your stats are pretty bad. GPA is way too low for a lot of the universities, and scores aren't great either. The rigor of your classes seems to be really low too.

Therefore, you shouldn't waste your time applying to the very best on your list (claremonts, top UCs, etc)

P.S. Off the top of my head, you forgot USC on your list.

dark_blue gave you excellent review of your chances at the UCs in my view.
