Hey everyone,
I'm new to these forums and have been lurking around them for the past couple of days, and I've found it to be a wealth of information, compelling me to join. So here I am, ready to become an active member of these boards. To start, I'd like to pose a question. Based on my grades/scores/ECs, do you think I should apply EA to the Boston College Carroll School of Management? The reason I ask is that it is more competitive, from what I hear. However, I have decent grades/scores, so I kind of want to see if I can get accepted and have Boston College as a fall back in case I get denied at more selective schools. To start, here is my information (I am a rising Senior at a fairly competitive Massachusetts high school):

Sex: Male
Ethnicity: White

Unweighted GPA: 3.81 (Weighted GPA: 4.27)
Class Rank: ~12/324 (this is an accurate estimate, actual ranks are not reported)
SAT: 2140 (800 M, 680 CR, 660 W) (I plan on getting CR and W up to 700, for a 2200)
SAT II: US History: 800, Math I: 750 (I plan on taking Math II and hope to get 780-800 to replace this)
AP Scores: I should receive them soon, but I anticipate a 5 on Statistics and a 4 or 5 on US History

Schedule: Since freshman year, I have taken the typical spread of classes, all at the Honors level. Junior year, I took AP Statistics and AP US History. Senior year, I plan on taking AP Physics, AP Calc BC, AP English, and AP Gov, along with Honors Spanish and Accounting.

Extra Curriculars: (mostly sports)
3 years of Cross Country (captain)
4 years of Ski Team (a competitive, self funded school race team) (captain)
4 years of Outdoor Track (captain)
Member of the National Honor Society Junior/Senior year

Volunteer Work:
I have spent three summers volunteering at a camp for people with mental and physical disabilities, providing 1 on 1 care.
Two "Mississippi Mission Trips" to help repair the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina (through my Catholic Church).
Eucharistic Minister at my Church (distributes communion, kind of a leadership role).
In total, I have about 850 hours of volunteering.

Essay/Recs: Hopefully as strong as I can make them.

Awards:
A+ Certified Professional IT Technician
High Honor Roll every term since Freshman year
Fairfield University Book Award (top 10% of class and leadership in extra curriculars)
Several service work awards provided through the church

Also, both my parents are graduates from Boston College, and I have 2 brothers there, among other family members (so I guess you could call me a legacy?) Also, I have a parent employed by BC, meaning I would get discounted tuition (this should also help explain my extreme interest in this university).

I intend on taking a concentration in Finance. So do you think I should apply EA or RD. Also, what other schools do you think would be a match based on my numbers that have strong business (finance) programs? Thanks, and in the meantime, I'll start my participation in this awesome community (and hopefully get my post count higher than 1)!
