I applied to the Carroll School of Management EA and I just wanted to know my chances. Here are my scores:
W:680
CR:690
M:750

GPA: 3.79/4 (weighted)

I took subject tests yesterday but am confident I did well on them

Other info: I am male and from the greater boston area. I don’t have any legacy

I know one of my recs is all about how I would be a great business man. And I know the other one is great too. I have good service and ec’s too. I also went to boy’s state at the end of my junior year.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated

Your GPA and SAT scores are “in range”. You didn’t mention your class rank or approximate decile. Much will depend on your specific EC’s, awards, essays, and recs.

Dear hopeful97 : Your profile does not demonstrate any of the following attributes that show a well rounded high school scholastic experience : sports, arts, music, volunteerism, leadership, awards, honors, or anything that provides color on your background.

So, you have provided us with a 2120 SAT three-way score and an “A-” weighted average. While your recommendations might assert your business acumen, you have not answered the question as to why you would make the BC Campus a better place; effectively, what do you add to Boston College? Our readers will know what BC can offer you - the question is whether you can articulate why you should be included in the Boston College recruiting class.

Being from Boston with a background that looks like so many others while also apply to CSOM, leaves your chance-me thread in a bit of a black-hole right now as too much is missing save a couple of numbers.

i played 3 varsity sports for 3 years and was an all star in football and basketball and played jv on all 3 as a freshman. I tutored in my school. I did fundraising for the Ed fund. I worked 2 jobs through out high school. I volunteered over the summer to help start a program for inner city kids. I’m captain of my basketball team. I’m not looking for a definitive decision I just wanted people’s general feedback. If I wanted to put all that information out there I would have just copied all my info from Common App. I just want general opinions but I hope the above information helps you
