Hello! I’m a senior in high school and I’ve been playing violin since 7th grade, so about six years. I’m concertmaster in my honors orchestra and I take private lessons. My main ‘thing’ is electric violin and rock music and I am highly interested in Belmont’s commercial music program for violin. I have a side music project called Violin Dragoness and I street play, play at local gigs, and I’ve got a few singles and YouTube videos/covers released.
My GPA is 3.48 and I got a 22 on the ACT but I plan on retaking it. Ive also taken a lot of AP and honors courses.
How tough is the commercial music violin program to get into?
