<p>washu and northwestern have higher test scores than middlebury and cornell. it makes no sense to say washu/northwestern are "in range" while middlebury/cornell are "reaches". you'll see people inflating schools in the northeast over and over on this board as if they have trouble realizing there are highly selective schools outside of the northeast.</p>

<p>Northwestern and Chicago are particularly underestimated in terms of admissions difficulty on this website.</p>
<p>Both of their SAT ranges are higher than those for a number of schools that people sometimes claim as being more difficult to gain admission to (e.g. Cornell, JHU)</p>
