Seems like you have really high odds. Idk carnigie Mellon that well, but it was a school on my list applying this year and my impression was it’s easier to get into than say some of the ivies and higher schools like NU, Vanderbilt, Wash U or Standford. You have perfect grades and ECs. You SATs fine but improve it if you want or take the ACT. With good essays and maybe EA/ED your almost certainly in if that’s your top choice.

Match, if you really want CMU I suggest you apply Early

Although some of the schools at cmu are harder then others, like tepper and engineering, you are almost guranteed to get in I can tell you that. chance me back

You have wonderful stats! You have a really good shot at making it, especially if you can score an even higher SAT. I don’t attend CMU, but my sibling does. He got in for computer engineering.

Objective:
SAT I (breakdown): 2400 (first take)
ACT: didn’t take
SAT II: Bio M(800), USH (750), Chinese (790), Math II (800), Chemistry (800)
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.7
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): n/a
AP (place score in parenthesis): APUSH (4), chemistry (5), biology (5), physics (5), computer science (5), Calculus BC (5), government (3), psychology (5), economics (2)
IB (place score in parenthesis): n/a

Subjective:
Awards: NHS finalist, AP scholar thingy, tons of music stuff

Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Clarinet (7 years), marching band (sectional leader), first chair clarinet, outside bands, music competitions, some music club (founder)

Job/Work Experience: internship at computer engineering company over summer
Volunteer/Community service: volunteer at children’s science center
Essays (rating 1-10, details): no idea
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details): no idea

Other

State (if domestic applicant): CA
Country (if international applicant): USA
School Type: public (large, nationally ranked)
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: male
Income Bracket: $70,000
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): none… lol

Reflection

Strengths: test scores
Weaknesses: my sibling is really smart, but extremely lazy…

General Comments: I honestly have no idea. I guess the SAT score did all the work for him because he never tried in school. I found him playing video games everyday, my parents didn’t really care. The only thing he ever did besides gaming was play clarinet, which was his main EC.

35% right now.

If you’re running for CS it will be difficult because the acceptance rate was 4.7% for SCS and even lower for CS in SCS.
