My Rec letters and Essays were strong

Intended Major: Mechanical Engineering

Senior Year Courses: 6 AP's 1 IB

Interview went well

I have also won many various awards regional and state level for UIL, Academic Decathlon,BPA, and Volunteering as well.

My rank and GPA have both gone up since Freshman year, I really appreciate you taking the time and reading my post.

Once again, Thank you.

You have a solid chance, that’s all. Good luck.

Thanks Cortana! I really appreciate it

Anyone else want to chime in?

When I chance people, I give them a number out of 10 to represent their chance of being admitted. 10=[Literally impossible to get in] and 1=[Community College]. I also qualitatively ranked certain facets of your application to show how I arrived at my chance estimate (a positive facet helps your app while a negative facet hurts it).

Strong GPA + Great EC’s + Strong Essays + Strong Recs - Average SAT II scores + Good Courseload - Average SAT + Demonstrated Interest = 6.5/10

Thanks Fate! Congrats on getting into Carnegie Mellon. So is a 6.5/10 relatively good or bad?

Anyone else want to chime in?

You have a very solid chance. 10/10

Thanks ACTE35! Congrats on getting into Carnegie Mellon as well.

Anyone else want to chime in?

Bump

Anyone else want to chime in?

I’m definitely no expert, but you seem like a pretty good candidate. I would say you are likely to get in

Thanks reparadocs!

Anyone else want to chime in?

I would say you have a good chance of getting in. I got into CIT for MSE.

Your SAT II are good but not fantastic, but your SAT is actually better than it sounds. I took the ACT instead and got a 33 (2190) with 800 chem but only 730 Math 1.

However your extracurriculars sound great as well as your leadership roles.

I’d say 8.5~9 / 10 … just to be safe.
Good Luck!

@3hourmonologue: Thanks! Congrats on getting into CIT! Hopefully I’ll see you there, just gotta wait and see now.
