Bump

Anyone else want to chime in?

I’d love to be able to chance you…like many others who have posted “chance” requests, you have a solid resume. Unfortunately it’s pretty much impossible to chance someone by looking at scores and EC’s…it’s too difficult to predict all of the things that go into the admission decision. I think it was at one of the parent orientation sessions where the speaker told us they could have filled their freshman class several times over with great students…there were so many wonderful applicants. Regardless, I’m sure that whether you end up at Princeton or some other great school, you have a very bright future ahead of you! I wish you all the best.

@Cantiger, alright and thanks! I hope these next 2 weeks go well for me

You have two weeks left. A chance thread won’t change anything. Why not just wait a couple weeks? Try to keep your mind off of it as much as possible though :)

Thanks adissaddddd! I hope all of my decisions go well.

Don’t worry - everyone who is waiting for admission decisions is probably antsy right now. Try to stay busy and don’t spend too much time on CC! ;)

Your EC’s are the fuzzy kind where its hard to tell puffery from the real deal. UTD reseacher? In what? Why aren’t you continuing your work at UTD? If its cutting edge then UTD owns it and you’ll have to leave it behind.

@Cantiger yah haha hopefully

@sosomenza: what do you mean my EC’s are the fuzzy kind and yah I research at UTD, like it’s my own independent research so yah…

Nsguy: Fuzzy in like the further explanation that your UTD research was inpendent and not school sponsored, which I guess means that you used the school library. There is big, big difference between using the the library for independent research than from being part of a University sponsored research team. BTW adcoms are experts in sniffing out such puffery.

A lot of it depends on what they are looking for, as well as where you live. Good luck!

@sosomenza, well I had a teacher sponsor me for a while and then i started to conduct research at the university level later on.

@FlyMeToTheMoon: Thanks! I hope it goes well
