<p>Hi, I recently applied early decision to Colgate and have seen other use this site to ask other users their acceptance odds. So...</p>

<p>Unweighted GPA 3.43/4.00
Weighted GPA 3.91/4.50</p>

<p>I have taken all honors and 2 AP's. At my high school this makes me a B+/A- student in an honors class. I am in the top 20% of my class. My high school is ranked in the top 20 public high schools in Massachusetts.</p>

<p>SAT 1
Highest: 1400/1600, 750 math/650 critical reading (Colgate does not count the writing portion)</p>

<p>Sports:
Cross Country, grades 9-12
Winter/Spring Track, grades 10-12</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Debate Club
Mock Trial
I created an internship through my high school, and I write weekly articles for my town newspaper. I mentioned in my supplemental essay that I am very interested in writing for the Colgate newspaper.</p>

<p>Community Service:
I worked at a stay over YMCA camp for 3 summers. For the first two I was not paid, and this adds up to 640 total hours of community service.</p>

<p>Senior year courses:
AP English, AP European History, Honors Calculus, Honors Contemporary World Issues, Honors Physics, Honors Journalism</p>

<p>I have done an on-campus interview. My father is class of 1974, but he hasn't donated any large sum of money.</p>

<p>I hear back around the 15th, and would appreciate any feedback.</p>

<p>I think you have a good shot. Your stats are with/in the norms. (They wont increase the admissions stats btw).</p>

<p>You have great statistics, but I went through the same thing last year. I applied to Colgate and got denied.</p>

<p>I did three varsity sports every year
Had a 3.9 unweighted GPA and was 3rd in my class
President of My Community Service Club
I only did average on my SATS and got a 32 on my ACTS</p>

<p>I applied regular decision, and was told that there were barely any spots left and most got taken up by alumni’s children. </p>
