You are in good shape. Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/816473-chance-aa-female-elite-schools-updated-stats.html <–Include Yale also!

You’re GPA is a bit low and you could have done more ECs…but I say you still have a good shot

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/819957-ill-chance-you-back-even-if-you-insult-me.html

I think columbia is definitely reach, but it also really depends on your region.

chance me back (idk how to post links, this is my thread name on what are my chances) chance for columbia u (cc) ed class of '14

if you are talking about Columbia College in Chicago then you’re in, but they do not offer the major you’re pursuing.

if you are talking about Columbia University, you have a very slim chance. your UNWEIGHTED GPA needs to be a 3.8 or above. having a 3.8 WEIGHTED GPA will probably hold you back

Sorry for the confusion but I was talking about the Columbia College in Columbia University
I think my counselor told me that my unweighted GPA is about a 91 (which is around a 3.6 or 3.7 i think)

Also for my GPA, it was extremely bad my freshman year(like 3.5) but then i got a 4.0 my sophomore and junior year(the ones with the AP’s), so am I wasting my time applying or should I give it a shot?

Can someone please give me another opinion?
I promise I’ll chance you back

You seem to be in good shape. Your ACT scores are GREAT! However you seem to be average in everything else. Everybody applying to Columbia is in NHS however what have you done that COMPLETELY PUTS you apart. You need to find your hook and EMPHASIZE it. chance me http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/821431-would-you-accept-me-if-you-were-admissions-officer.html
