Hello all. I am a freshman at a CC in NYC, and am exploring my options at transferring into:

Columbia for Economics: (either combined with math or finance)
NYU Stern: Finance
Cornell: AEM

With my degree I would like to go into investment banking, so recruitment is a large factor. I took a year and a half off college to backpack in Europe, start internships and work. I currently work in commercial and residential real estate and have done an internship at UBS and a smaller hedge-fund.

Last semester I took:
English 1: A
Pre-Cal: A

Fall 2011:
Cal 1
Statistics
English 2
Philosophy
Microeconomics

Spring 2012:
Cal 2
Linear Algebra
University Physics 1
Macroeconomics
Some music class/art to show diversity

I expect an A- average from these classes. High school wise, I received an unweighted 3.4, and my SATs are nothing to marvel at. Somewhere in the 650-680 range. I could make excuses, but that was the past. I was thinking about retaking the SATs this fall, and I know to Cornell does not ask for them. My other option is too complete CC and get an AA, and then transfer. I have good extra circulars, recommendations can come from alumni of each school as well. I have a legacy at Wharton and a brother who attended Yale, but looking at my stats, I would not even waste the application fee.
Thank you!
