<p>GPA: 4.0 (almost certain)
SAT 2: Biology M-710
I'll probably take 3 more; math IC, Chem and US History next year, and probably two or three more during the senior year.
AP: Euro-?</p>

<p>I HAVENT TAKEN THE SAT YET SO CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AN IDEA OF WHAT A GOOD SCORE WOULD BE FOR COLUMBIA? I ALSO TAKE AP EURO THIS YEAR AND IM GOING TO TAKE AP US NEXT YEAR, AND PROBABLY 6 MORE APS DURING THE SENIOR YEAR.</p>

<p>the best score is 2400
so try to get it lol
but i think 2250+ would be all right
6 AP's in your senior year may come out to be a little be hard unless you are a genius or 100% you'll get all 5's
try to take 2-3 ap's next year
yor vlunteering is good, along with awards
so do your best on sat and ap's, write an amazing essay, adn you'll have a good chance getting in
the last advice is to look through the other ppl's chances posts and compare their stats with yours
good luck!</p>

<p>thx for ur comment. ur the first positive one i got all week lol. and will i still be able to get in if i can't win an intel science competition? because that sounds really really hard. but im gunna try it. and even if i dont win even semifinal, will i still be able to get into Columbia if i can get like at least 2100 on the SAT? or is that too low. well anyway, thx for ur advice. i appreciate it!</p>

<p>about intel competition you can read here:
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=72263%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=72263&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>if you're not interested in science/math, then....hm....i don't know...try to take a few classes at college and get a good recommendation letter.....</p>

<p>about sat....remember, that the lower score you get, the better essay you'll have to write...however, if you get waaaaay below the minimum, it's gonna be almost impossible to get in....so...do as high as you can :)</p>
